Keyboard Movement Toggle

Loving this game so far, but one thing I'd love to see is the ability to toggle between the default mouse controls for movement and WASD/arrow key movement controls.

    WASD to move, and when you attack auto changes to the mode where you are rotted in place attaking in the direction of the mouse, the rest of the controls could stay the same.

    I bought two copies of this game today.  I couldn't believe there was no WASD support. I'll be putting in a request today for a refund.. we don't have controllers to use.

    I think this could be a feature that's not default, or simply an accessibility feature. The game will pretty much be harder when using wasd, probably even harder than using a controller, since it become rather hard to aim at something. As for game balancing, i don't think things will change that much, it can be that both wasd and mouse can be used at the same time, and it's pretty common that, when you are attacking, you are forced to stand still, especially for ranged attack. MCD isn't a twin stick shooter, i mean. Though i also don't think that allowing twin stick shooting would cause much game balancing issue as well, and that could probably make it possible for two person to play the same character together, and that can allow more people to enjoy the game.

    On a side note, for anyone finding it tiring to play with a mouse, try a trackball -- you will still click a lot but your wrist won't go sour anymore. Not exactly easy to get into though, but it might worth trying.

    XBOX contol bindings need an update. The Melee/Interact bindings should be separated as to create totally customizable button configuration. The issue is that when trying to attack nearby a downed teammate or an item has appeared the Action function takes priority over the Melee function causing the player to be slain in most cases. This has been an interest killer for me as I play with two players mostly so trying to clear a group of mobs often leads me to being stuck reviving instead of attacking the mobs. Thus ending our game and having to restart because of button bindings. =( Please separate these functions to streamline gameplay on console. Great game btw!

    movement with the mouse is important for people who can only use one hand like me, luckily I have this game to keep me busy during the day.
    There are not enough PC games that allow movement by holding a mouse button. Keeping this function is important!

    I really dislike this decision that Mojang made. especially when on levels like desert temple for the boss fight. Ill be running away from the henchman and turn to attack one by clicking on it. at this point the skeletons have surrounded me so I'll use shock powder to stun them to get away. Except when I click to get away, My Character Starts To Attack The Mobs!! Clicking just restricts movement and makes it so the player can't do what THEY want to do, not the developers. this needs to be fixed or added.

    i don't think that it's much harder to play MCD with wasd it wouldn't make it hard to aim i don't play on pc but i can tell that it wouldn't be no different to aim with the default or with wasd i don't know how point and clicked is much easier then wasd but for me and any other players who use wasd i think it's much easier

    We would really LOVE the WASD option. I don't like to use a controller. I've been using WASD for more than 13 years and I feel very uncomfortable with the click option. Some of my friends don't even want to try the game because of this. Help us!

    I am honestly confused why this wasn't the default controls for this game. Minecraft was a WASD game and even Minecraft Story mode was used with wasd. I want this to be even a choice to use WASD because it is partially the main reason I wanted a refund for this game.

    For console, there is no point-and-click option. So there's this smooth, steady gameplay. Why don't we have the same on PC? We have the technology to do it. Give us WASD.

    I would really like this! The mouse sometimes dissapears and i have to restart my PC sometimes, to PLEASE add this!

    Mouse movement is quite possibly my least favorite control scheme in existence, and it's especially infuriating in a context like this considering Minecraft Dungeons natively supports controller even on PC, which allows movement in much the same way. There's really no reason to not have the option to switch.

    Please change it that you can choose between mouse for movement or WASD, a lot of players prefer WASD for moving and the mouse for aiming, this isn't League Of Legends.

    First game i've ever played that forces movement with mouse click (and isn't a point and click adventure game) and i absolutely despise it. I played a total of around 30 seconds, checked the options menu for what seemed to me to be an obvious option to toggle WASD movement but no. Thankfully i have a spare controller to use.

    I hate playing games with mouse instead wasd. Its very unintuitive and makes this game impossible to play without a controller. I'm lucky enough to have one but it is very awful to play on keyboard.

    i just downdloaded minecraft dungeons to find out you cant use WASD to move around, sad to say im deleting the game because i have so many hours on ps4 and i was super stoked to have the gamepass, very disappointed :(

    This feature would make movement so much more intuitive. With the insane number of PC games that use the WSAD movement format having one that doesn't feels off and clunky at best, and downright unplayable at worst. Personally, I connected a controller to play immediately after figuring out it used the mouse, but being able to play with the WSAD format would be much preferable in my opinion.

    Yeah separate keys are way better then using the mouse, as that's what's used to attack. I always end up using a controller just to avoid this problem

    please add the wasd movement because all PC gamers would be playing a roguelike game where you have to move with your mouse.

    If it can be because we can be prepared at least to fight against mobs ... and with hostile mobs because it is very clear that we all like to play minecraft and like to be better prepared with your sword and especially the dungeons.
