Keyboard Movement Toggle

Loving this game so far, but one thing I'd love to see is the ability to toggle between the default mouse controls for movement and WASD/arrow key movement controls.

    WASD movement would be an incredible implementation that would make the game feel so much better on pc, hope to see this in the game soon :)

    Point and click movement is such an unintelligent decision. And on PC, all gamepass games don't actually read my controller.

    Yeah I love everything about this game so far except for this. Keep point and click as default if you must, but please just give us the choice to play how we would prefer :)

    This, so much this. Infinite times this. WASD is superior to any other control scheme, there's no reason to not have it in the game. It would decouple movement from aiming and give us complete control over our character.

    To expand on this, dodge rolls could be more intuitive by utilizing WASD.  I personally think that as it is now, it plays a bit too much like Old School RuneScape (without the secondary movement functions).  Not a terrible interface, it worked for a majority of the players there for a long time, and there's still a huge following behind that game who play that way.  However I don't think it works as fluidly here when you see how the game is played using controller input, which isn't an option there; it's a night and day difference.  Also there are no Control settings for KB&M aside from key bindings, where you'd think you would find it takes you to controller settings (as does the same option of the same name within the controller tab), and key bindings is extremely limited.

    I'm actually really disappointed that WASD movement is not in the game by default. We can't even change keybinds for movement :/

    This is something i was expecting on first game boot, and having to use mouse at all times feels somewhat unnatural. Another issue i have with the game would be solved in the case that WASD cluster movement is added

    I feel that the WASD movement system would make the game much easier as you have more availability to move your character

    Yes, please add this. I had to stop playing often cause my hand kept cramping up from just nonstop clicking. Instinctively I have my left hand on WASD as if it'll do something but basically all I am doing is clicking nonstop. If I could move with WASD it would give my hand a bit of a break so I could play more.

    As soon as I started playing I regretted my decision to buy the PC version due to the controls. Would be much better if movement was WASD and attack direction and type was controlled by the mouse.

    Honestly I'd love to see it both work, where you can click with the mouse but also use wasd, path of exile has this and it feels so much better than just mouse.

     

    Ofcourse this would be a switch thing,
    Maybe have three options,
    1: Only mouse,
    2: Only keyboard (wasd)
    3: Both mouse and keyboard

    ^ This is what I'd personally would like the most.

    First time I opened the game I was expecting WASD to be the default and I was really disappointed after looking in the settings to see that it wasn't even an option. Please implement this! Almost every game on computer uses WASD movement, even actual Minecraft does it, why not this title too?

    The game in my opinion feels SO incomplete without wasd movement on pc, please change it!!

    I'd love to see this, the mouse movement sometimes fails when in the middle of a larger crowd of mobs.

    I notice my health falls to near death and when i try to hold mouse 1 down and leave i somehow charge forward instead of the desired direction.

    I don't really care for WASD in an ARPG but I guess if people want it it sould be implemented. But please don't make any downgrades to the current PC control scheme and also keep improving it.

    Point and Click movement is standard in ARPG dungeon crawler games. Think Diablo and PoE. If keyboard movement was implemented it must come along with buffs/nerfs to certain weapons and artifacts as now you will be able to move in 1 direction while attacking in another much more easily than before. I’m all for letting people play how they want but this needs to be fully thought out.

    I get why the made the default mouse, because a lot of kids would want to ply bu wouldn't figure wasd out so easily. But people who play a lot of pc games (like me and most people on this thread) would love to be able to use wasd,

    Mouse movement control is really a pain for my fingers. Can't play for more than an hour or it's gonna hurt.

    I would love keyboard movements it would help me out in the game, and the fact that why is it even clicking its a bad decision.

    being able to control with wasd for me at least would be because it lets you feel like youre the character itself it would be more engaging/atmospheric..?its also much easier to control opposed to having to spaz all over my mouse pad with my mouse in order to shoot in different directions and walking around

    Adding Keyboard/Mouse controls on Xbox would be great too.
