Limited building in Minecraft Dungeons

I feel like Minecraft Dungeons is an amazing game, but there is one huge opportunity that I feel has been missed, building. I feel like if you could build a limited amount of structures in specific locations (forts, towers, small barricades etc.) then it would allow many more play styles than the ones currently available.

My vision for how this could work would be something like a side-quest where you have to go mining or looting for resources to build one of the structures, and then you go to the location where you can build it and you spam click a button to build it. I think this should be a feature where it is optional, and doing it makes the mission slightly easier, but not too much to the point where its essential to do to beat the mission. This would add a lot of content and make the game feel a lot more customisable.

Feel free to use this idea however you want, maybe in one mission, maybe in all of them, I just think it would be a cool feature to have. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

    great idea. for a simpler version of this is that some side quest just help build camp but i think making it cosumize able really seems like the way to go here.

    This could be an optional ‘post mission’ quest. Village needs to be repaired so they give you an axe to collect wood. At the end you can unlock vanity items or building templates for your own camp...

    I disagree with the whole spamming the button to build thing. Not only does this never happen anywhere else in menus, but it can also leave people with motor disabilities unable to do anything.

     

    though the idea of being able to build structures, even if they serve no purpose at all other than cosmetics could be an interesting idea.
