    No this shouldn’t be the case, since later difficulties like adventure and apocalypse offer extra equipment and add to a natural progression, along with the difficulties on each individual level.

    Unlocking adventure and apocalypse from the start takes away from the natural progression of the content that's exclusive to the later difficulties. You complete the game once, then you get access to more equipment and level previously not accessible. Removing this would be unhealthy for the game.

    That being said, individual mission difficulties shouldn't be locked away once you're higher power, but the better gear should be, to encourage the player to go out of their comfort zone to improve and get the best loot. If they want a chill laid back experience then they can play lower mission difficulties, but shouldn't be rewarded with the same tier of loot as later difficulties because that makes the harder content pointless. You should be rewarded for completing that harder difficulty with better loot.

    I think he means the Difficulty slider not Adventure or Apocalypse.

    If that is the case, sure why not? But you would probably get absolutely wreckted playing at the hardest setting when completely new and have no items, but it's true it should be the players choice to do so.

    That's not the biggest problem. Not sure if you noticed, but playing on lower difficulty than recommended prevents you from getting gear of higher level than yours. That's total bs if you ask me. Not to mention that the game is very hard in general - I can't pick the difficulty in the tower, which means I'm getting absolutely destroyed
