I don’t think PvP would suit this game well. It might be fun with friends but it’s not worth going through the trouble with all the insanely OP builds you can make.

They can make elaborate ways to fight each other like different type of arenas

As someone else said PvP wouldn't really suit the game, but an arena mode with a sort of "Endless" battle where you fight waves of increasingly more difficult enemies would be an amazing way to demonstrate your superiority to your friends

i can see arenas being a thing but let's make it a how long can you last or have it kind of like how skylander did it and have it around base PvE thing with loot at the end.

it will fit better then game.

I already asked a MCD dev a long time ago about PvP, and they said no as it would be unfair. Although, like JustKiwikiwi said, a PvE arena might be cool.

Nice idea! I think anyone who uses souls as a basis of their build would probably get destroyed.

Someone mentioned endless waves below, and this dovetails well with my idea for a more robust combat dummy system.  Endless waves of potentially settable levels of difficulty would allow for testing/comparing armor and evaluating armor enchantments.

I'm not a big proponent of PVP, but I'll vote for this suggestion based on the potential for gear/enchantment evaluation.

Good idea, but only PvE and no drops.

For PvE to test out builds without starting a mission is fantastic! The ability to gain experience, emeralds and gear from the training area would give replaying levels less incentive. I'd like to be able to test out gear on specific enemies to see the strength and weaknesses of equipment/builds.

you should be able to bet emeralds and gear on who will win

Or, you could use the arena to practice fighting enemies so in higher difficulties you will be able to handle them strategically.

What if the arena had the following characteristics
    1. PvP is only enabled if ALL players agree
    2. Difficulties CANNOT be lower then players average power lvl
    3. Xp and emeralds do NOT drop
    4. Gear does NOT drop. But you can get rewarded gear for making it to certain waves (eg wave 15,30,45,60 and so on)
    5. Waves get harder every lvl. And a boss (like strong golom) every 5th lvl. At every 15th lvl a boss (from the main game) appears and must be defeated. This is why you earn the gear rewards every 15 waves.
    6. The only way to get emeralds is from the enchantment “prospector”
    7. When PvP is agreed by all players the following rules are set. A. No one loses any thing B. Gear power lvl is set equal. (To prevent OP problems mentioned) C. There is NO reward for winning. (Just to see who is better with their MCD build) D. The players can bet their own emeralds on who wins (all PvP is agreeable to both players, so if one player bets the other does NOT have to. It’s optional to both. One bets the other doesn’t. Both bet. None bet. It’s just to add friendly competition)
    (No gear can be bet)

It would be nice to train against people who aren’t so easy to defeat!

Personally I think pvp is exactly what this game needs. I would like to see a 4v4 battle area set up. One side has a blue door and a gold key. The other a gold door with a blue key. About 150 blocks between the two side. Downing a character drops consumables(arrows, potions, food). The objective is simple. Get the opponents key, unlock your sides door and press the button for the win. This style of pvp “capture the flag/key” makes it so a multitude of builds will be used based on team dynamics. You won’t win it by yourself and an auto bow set up. I believe this form of pvp would push players to grind their hearts out trying for the best load out possible giving for more single/co-op player replay value. Add a leaderboard where you’re ranked on player downs and key captures and this game has hit a whole new level. Hope to see this feature someday, thanks.

This idea is not great for Pvp, it best suites Pve like all the other stuff in the game.

personally, as a great an idea this is, i feel like we could at least do with an improved training dummy. The one we have now near the house sucks, and lots of enchantmnents don't work ive had isssues with local play too, like damage not even showing up
