A command to stop ice from melting

I like to build a lot of things in Minecraft, I sometimes use ice as glass when building skyscrapers in the game. A command to stop ice from melting would be really nice because I can make awesome structures without worrying that the ice melts. Anyway, if this feature gets implemented to the game that would really mean a lot to me! Thank you for reading my idea!

/gamerule randomTickSpeed 0 should disable ice from melting. However, it will also disable a few other things like crops growing and fire burning things.
