Magical Lace

Magical Lace would be crafted out of string, glowstone, enchanted apple, and blaze powder and would provide protection from magical damage sources such as dragons breath, splash potions and evoker attacks. Basically, it can be put on armor for a heavy xp price and would have separate durability from the armor and would have to be replaced. However replacing it would not raise the anvil cost as it would already be high. Magical lace can also be separated from armor and upgraded. Each enchanted apple used to craft the lace would upgrade it by 1. It would break naturally but have a high durability. This would be a late game item and could only be crafted using a special kind of table such as an enchanted table or something. I really hope this idea makes it in to Minecraft.
