Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Even if we couldn't get the ruined portal thing, having a built in way to assign custom portals for getting to custom dimensions and what blocks/items that portal would need to be built out of and activated with would be wonderful!
This way datapack creators won't have to makeshift ways to detect their own makeshift portals, it could just be built right in!

Perhaps we could even get a selection of colors to choose from for the custom portals like in the 20w14∞ snapshot.

Additionally, if there was a colorless portal texture that would be given a tint based on the defined portal type this would offer more control of portals to other dimensions.

As far as the ruined portals go, I've found it to be fairly straightforward to just load the vanilla ruined portal structure files in an NBT editor and replacing the palette of blocks with the blocks I want, then having my datapack load my custom structures programmatically.

I agree and really like your idea, however Java already has custom dimensions with a custom coloured portal. If we had this in Bedrock I think that would be sick!
