Following this, having the ability to place Lanterns (And now possibly Chains) on the underside of Trapdoors would be amazing! There are so many builds that I find and want to do, but being Bedrock I have to find a work around or scrap the idea. This would be amazing for the parody and make it so the versions are more seamless in the instruction and build department.

Yes please! It adds a layer of depth to a build and reduces the need for clunkier half slabs. Lanterns and even item frames would be a fantastic addition as well.

In addition to flower pots, there are also several other items that cannot be placed on trapdoors in Bedrock Edition. Someone mentioned that you cannot hang lanterns from the bottom of trapdoors. You can’t place them on top of trapdoors either. You also can’t place sea pickles, doors, pressure plates, snow layers (top snow), beds, scaffolding, or rails. You also can’t place ladders on the side of open trapdoors, which is another very commonly used trick on Java Edition. There might be a few more, but I have yet to confirm them.

This is a major parity feature for builders and I'm surprised it hasn't been added or talked about more considering its usefulness and how widespread its use is on Java! I'm sure that you meant this by your suggestion, but I believe that trapdoors should function the same on bedrock as they do on Java (build-wise, I'm not trying to get into the whole one block tall movement discussion). It would be so nice to be able to put flower pots, item frames, lanterns, sea pickles, carpets, etc. on trapdoors as well being able to hang item frames on the side of the block instead of having to use the bulky slab in its place. Slabs are not only clunky looking because of their size in a shelf (or desk) type build, but also because their texture is the same as the stair block that it is often "supported" by. I'm sorry to ramble on, but in my eyes, this is the most important parity feature not yet announced or added to bedrock edition.
