Sagebrush Steppe

Sagebrush Steppes would be a new type of desert. These deserts are flat, and would consist of a new block called Arid Soil and small stretches of coarse dirt. Covering the surface of this biome would be grass, dead bushes, and Sagebrush. Water would be scarce and shallow.

Sagebrush can grow on any type of Overworld soil or sand, and grows similarly to the berry bush. In their final stage, they produce yellow flowers, which can be collected and crafted into dye.

Horses and rabbits would spawn naturally in this biome.

Adding Sagebrush Steppes would help better represent the diverse desert habitats in the real world.

    It would be very cool to see this in Minecraft and it would be different from sand and sand but this time with bumps.

    This would be cool to see! Maybe some new mobs could spawn here? Maybe bison, antelope, or gophers?

    This is an excellent idea here. Also this can be a rare opportunity to address a species that is only in the sagebrush steppe, and that is the endangered Sage Grouse, A type of bird. This can be implemented the same way as the Panda was implemented in the bamboo jungle. So really there needs to be a Steppe biome that is a cross between the desert, badlands, and the plains biomes. This may be the solution there. Also a good idea is to have a mountainous version of the steppe called the Buttes biome. So much can be done with this.
