A scoreboard objective called "minecraft.custom:minecraft.rotate_item_frame", or alternatively "minecraft.custom:minecraft.interact_with_item_frame".
As the name suggests, it would increase the score by 1 each time the player right-clicks an item frame containing an item, thereby rotating it. The purpose for this is that currently it's impossible to determine with confidence who is interacting with an item frame and it requires a polling approach to detect a change in rotation, forcing datapack makers to constantly check all item frame entities, which impacts performance.
This addition would provide a better alternative to clunky redstone detection and a more visual alternative to clickable signs.
