Brass Noteblocks

Noteblocks can make a lot of sounds; however, I would love to see a brass instrument or two become implemented into the game for some contrast. This could create infinitely more possibilities, and perhaps we'd see the creation of jazz music or orchestra within the game. Can't think of the block(s) that would be needed but that's a tiny detail.

  If I had to chose some blocks for brass instruments:

  • Trumpets: Honeycomb blocks (they're pretty useless blocks anyway)
  • Trombone: Ancient Debris (or Soul Soil if that's too expensive)

  Trumpets would be a great addition. Maybe add some strings on top of it, like a violin.

  Yeah currently there is not a single brass instrument, I feel like even a simple trumpet could massively expand the things you could do with noteblocks. It would make the most sense to use copper but maybe the different stages could be like different instruments such as trombone for slightly weathered and tuba for fully oxidized etc. Maybe there could even be different sounds depending on whether its cut or not.

  I want to make Star Wars music with note blocks. This requires brass instruments. You can't have Star Wars without brass.

  I like the idea of using copper blocks for this. Here's the breakdown I think would probably work:

  • Tuba - regular copper block
  • Trombone - cut copper block
  • Trumpet - raw copper block
