Currently, when destroyed, most "non-ridable" minecarts (chest/hopper/furnace/tnt) drop a "rideable" minecart and its other crafting ingredient (chest/hopper/furnace/tnt) and any inventory they might be holding.
I propose that when broken they should drop themselves. This would allow for more automation and usage of the minecarts by allowing the player to reuse these carts without either crafting them back together or leaving too many minecart entities in the world that would create lag.
For example: A chest minecart carrying a full inventory runs into a cactus which drops the inventory and a Chest Minecart item onto a hopper. The inventory is stored away and the Chest Minecart is ready to be deployed by a dispenser when the player needs it.
Minecart pez dispensors would no longer be necessary which would increase game performance by reducing lag caused by extra entities.
This change prevents the separation of crafted minecarts as we know it, but it would still be advantageous to be able to separate them into their parts. This is a minor problem created by this change but one that has the opportunity to create fun new gameplay. A possible solution would be that when the player wants to seperate the Chest from a Minecart they right click with Shears on the cart dropping the Minecart and Chest separately like we know it as well as its held inventory. This could be further automated with the dispenser + shears mechanic used to automatically shear sheep.
