With the addition of /attribute command in 1.16, it would be cool to add a new modifier that modifies the attack/build reach of players and mobs. From jeb_'s PvP rework pre-snapshots, there's a new attack reach modifier to weapons. It would be nice to officially port that feature as a separate attribute to have more flexibility for map makers/datapack creators.
It would be implemented as another attribute like minecraft:generic.max_health (like minecraft:generic.attack_reach), and the base would be the default 5 blocks (?? not sure). And weapons would have different attack reach like in the jeb_'s PvP rework.
It would also be implemented as an AttributeModifiers for items, which I really love to modify to create custom weapons.
Implementing this would make map making and data pack creating more flexible! Even if without adding it officially to weapons (because PvP combat system is controversial), just the attribute modifier is nice enough.
