Thought about what would be an interesting new instrument to add for note blocks and decided it should be bagpipes. Wanted to have it so when you put it on wool, it would make bagpipe sounds, but it already plays guitar. So instead I think a block of quartz would be the next best thing.
It would be limited, however, since bagpipes can only make nine notes. G, A, B, C#, D, E, F#, upper octave G and upper octave A, respectively. Which is why when you tune a note block on a block of quartz, you can only tune it to those particular notes. Chromatic bagpipes do exist, but they're considered novelties at best in the piping world and an entirely different instrument by pipers at worst.
