When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

while this may seem like something that needs to be removed, i disagree. I've built plenty of systems that required more than 8 different outputs (referencing item frames) and honestly using a lectern is more efficient than using a key sorting system for an elevator, or having a button for every floor. Honestly if the lectern is messing with your redstone, build around it, or if it's too bulky for you, try and find a way to make it less bulky. That's what every redstone engineer has to do anyways, so welcome to the club of making things smaller gradually

"I've built plenty of systems that required more than 8 different outputs [...]"

Correct me if I'm wrong OP, but this is proposing to remove the redstone pulse that occurs upon page switches. It isn't saying that the ability to use a comparator on a lectern should be removed.

It makes zero sense that there's a redstone pulse coupled with page changes anyway. Absolutely no redstone goes into the making of a lectern; it should be incapable of sending a pulse like that.
