Today I am suggesting to have the ability to clear your own java username history. I honestly don't know why this isn't a thing yet. A lot of people are ashamed of their past usernames and don't want them viewable anymore. In my eyes, it's a shame that third party apps/websites have access to someone's past usernames. The fact that they have access to these is not good, and they even make them public on the internet.
Having the ability to clear your username history will only have benefits.
- It will prevent players from selling their OG "Clean (No username history)" accounts, which is already against the EULA but people still do it.
- This will definitely make people who are ashamed of their past usernames happy, they don't have tho be ashamed anymore of their past usernames.
- People don't want to share this kind of information with the public, people change their username for a reason. A lot of people created their Minecraft account maybe 8 years ago, so did I. I was very young and choose a stupid username. Having the ability to clear your username history creates more privacy for your history.
When it comes to myself, I currently have the Crowdin Translator cape, people recognize me and will look for my account on NameMC for example, then they see a list of 10+ names where I don't feel good about. It's a shame.
I know someone who actually was getting bullied in a server because of his name history, Minecraft should step up and prevent this from happening!
