A dimension that is a blasted desert during the day but which grows into a lush wilderness at night.
In the day, the dimension is a continuous landscape of blasted soil, bleached bones, and the parched vestiges of plants. Mutated beings prowl the wastes, starved and hungry for flesh. The sun’s very rays are deadly to any would-be adventurer, inflicting an irradiation effect that depletes your health until you are able to find shade. The only naturally occurring shelter comes in the form of deep ravines and cave mouths in the sides of featureless sandy hills, often infested with bloodthirsty beings.
But when the sun’s killing rays have vanished from the landscape, alien grasses and vegetation grow upon the soil, and trees spring up from nothing in a matter of seconds. In minutes, the landscape is transformed into a vibrant paradise. Bioluminescent vegetation of all colors sprawls in every direction. Filthy basins of murky sludge, inhabited in the daytime by vile tentacled horrors, become sparkling lakes. The biome distribution changes every night, so the environment in a location rarely stays the same. Wildlife also begins to emerge. The nighttime is no less dangerous than the day, as there are many dangerous predators.
In the morning, the nighttime mobs are killed by the sun’s rays, the grasses and vegetation decay to nothing, and the trees lose their leaves and rot into nonexistence. (No items or blocks are dropped.) The landscape reverts to the wasteland of the previous day.
