Garnet

Garnet would be found in the very low levels of the basalt deltas in the nether. It would look like other ores, just having small bits of the red crystals sticking out of the basalt texture. It would spawn in gains of only one, and would generate veins about as rarely as gold in the over world. When mined, the player would get a few garnet shards. With four garnet shards, they could craft a garnet crystal. Garnet crystals could be combined with pickaxes, shovels, and axes in a smithing table to automatically smelt things that they mine like iron ore, sand, and logs. Also, if the player mines stone with a garnet pickaxe, they would get stone, but if they mined it with a garnet pickaxe enchanted with silk touch, they would get smooth stone.
