The Suspended Encampment (Includes concept image!)

Summary:

 

What: A unique challenge to encourage players to explore the "Roof" of the nether.

Why: Despite glowstone veins, the Nether's roof is an underutilized feature.

How: A new structure that is suspended from the nether's roof.

Details:

The Suspended Encampment is a structure that hangs from the roof of the Nether. It was used to hide away from the hostile mobs, but the threat posed by Ghasts forced its builders to flee. These structures contain 1-3 loot chests each, most have a block of crying obsidian, and the others may have a smithing table.

These structures could look like the following concepts:

Their loot chests would contain items whose rarity is determined by the rarity of the design of encampment they are found in. Larger (rarer) encampments would contain more chests with better loot.

The Suspended Encampment would create a unique challenge with both bridging speed and elytra flight, and make the nether's roof worthwhile.

    Maybe there could be multiple kinds of this structure with some being just one room with a chest and others being up to 10 rooms with varying decoration.

    But overall great idea you have my vote.

    I have to say, this looks really cool, I like the concept, is unique, and uses an underused part of the Nether. One of the best structures I've seen.

    Maybe the larger ones spawn over lava pits. Also, skeletons or some other undead mob should spawn on these structures.
