Seaglass is when glass is tossed into the sea and is tumbled for years, transforming the glass into a frosted appearance and rounding off the sharp edges. They come in many colors, some rarer than others. So in the game, Seaglass is made when the player drops a stained glass block/pane in open waters. The color of the glass can be any color. You'll then have to wait for about 10-20 minutes for the stained glass to transform into seaglass. Seaglass can also be found while fishing. You have an 11.3% chance of getting one while fishing. Seaglass can as well be found in buried treasure chests and in shipwreck treasure chests. I also mentioned that the colors have rarities, so here's a chart:
Common: Brown, White, and Lime Green
Rare: Blues (Cyan, Light Blue) , Pink, Magenta, and Purple.
Super Rare: Orange, Red, Yellow, Gray, and Black.
You have a 91.7% chance of finding a common piece of Seaglass, a 64.2% of finding a rare piece of seaglass, and a 20.5% chance of finding a Super Rare piece of seaglass. Fishermen villagers also trade seaglass. Master level Fishermen trade Super Rare pieces. Seaglass is also found in almost any ocean biome, except cold ocean biomes. Drowned also have a 28.9% chance of dropping a piece of seaglass. Also your chances of finding seaglass are more higher when fishing with a Luck of the Sea fishing rod. You then have a 95.3% chance of finding a common one, a 74.7% of finding a rare piece, and a 36.9% of finding a Super Rare piece.Seaglass is rare in game.
