Blocking Mob Spawns in the Nether

The Nether Update is intended to allow players to live in the Nether. If I were to build a Nether base, I would want to prevent mobs from spawning inside. This can be done by covering the base in slabs, but that limits building possibilities. Instead, Nether mobs (like overworld mobs) should only spawn in light levels of 7 or less, except striders of course.

    Also they should only spawn on blocks found in the nether (except for glowstone and lava (except for striders)) like netherrack, nylium, nether bricks, ... etc

    Agreed, my own home isn't even mine when mobs spawn inside, and even can apparently spawn on the portal it's self, so even with all just slabs..you still got a chance of uninvited guests..maybe make the portal have a radius of some blocks preventing spawn.fifty by fifty maybe?
