I made a murder mystery map on bedrock and this whole not being to remove nametags messes the whole thing up which makes it annoying. This is why I agree with your idea.

TacitLemming849 I actually made a Bedrock Murder Mystery, too, which is why I made this post!

You can already do that with teams

    /team add invisName

    /team modify invisName nametagVisibility never

    /team join invisName @a

    There you go

Geradeso Lukas this suggestion is for the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft, and unfortunately, your solution does not work in that version. Thank you for your help, though!

I could think of this being useful in making horror maps, good suggestion

TacitLemming849, Geradeso Lukas, AnonymousDud3, and everyone else with this issue:

GOOD NEWS: I found a workaround! While it is clunky and inefficient and turns off achievements, it should work for most people until Mojang (hopefully) adds the gamerule. The workaround is slightly complicated, but if you're already doing commands, it shouldn't be a problem.

    1. Download the vanilla Minecraft behavior packs from Minecraft.net
    2. Unzip the file
    3. Open the unzipped file
    4. Open the file called "entities"
    5. Find the file called "player.json" and open it
    6. Find the part that says "minecraft:nameable", and below that, "always_show": true, and replace the word "true" with "false"
    7. Save your changes and add your new behavior pack to your world (that's a whole other matter, look up a tutorial on it if you don't know how to). Once that's done, no one can see each other's names!

Bedrock should add teams then instead of adding a gamerule that would be superseded by them

tryashtar As far as I know, I don't think teams adds anything that isn't already possible (albeit somewhat overcomplicated) with /scoreboard players or other commands that are in Bedrock. Correct me if I'm wrong, though. :)
