With the brand new 1.16 Nether Update, the nether has seen many additions that make the nether a survivable plane, complete with a source of wood, food and 'cobblestone', enough so that the player is now able to start and survive entirely in the Nether dimension, with the ability to harvest the materials required to construct a nether portal and escape back into the Overworld.
With these new features I propose that a new gamemode is introduced similar to Hardcore, however upon a player's death in the Overworld/End dimensions the player is teleported item-less to similar co-ordinates in the Nether in a breathable location (like how Nether Portals Generate). This gives the player the chance to start again with the materials in the nether to escape and return to their beloved creations, or brave the journey back to their previously established Nether Portal. Maybe if the player were to die in the Nether, it would behave as usual Hardcore and delete the players world save
Perhaps this could be implemented as a gamerule that achieves the same, yet without the immediate world deletion and is applicable to Realms or servers.
/gamerule respawnInNether true
With all the new additions to the Nether, a feature like this would tie into the updates focus on improving the survivability of the previously untouched Nether dimension, with the often overlooked Hardcore gamemode, in a unique and yet fitting way that provides further mystery and allure to the fiery plane.
