Lava Reefs
These would be a new biome, just like the coral reefs of the overworld, generating in the lava oceans of the nether.
They could use new coral, with light blue, red, and black coral, to fit the colors of the warped and crimson forests, and blackstone, or they could use dead coral.
Here is an example I made, in order, lava, warped, crimson, soul, and crag coral:
Of course better vision in lava would be required, although I believe night vision should only provide this bonus, as to not make lava less of a threat.
Perhaps new lava resistant fish would be present, flame tuna and lava carp, or literal gold-fish. Magma octopi that try to attack you from shore with their tentacles, or fire eels that spit fire, there are a huge amount of possibilities, or maybe these reefs would just attract a large amount of striders.
Here's another example:
There would need to be a reason to explore these very dangerous environments, which could of course be only explored with fire resistance, so perhaps some lava kelp that could be smelted for an interesting food source that could give special effects or perhaps just a large amount of saturation, perhaps these corals could be used for something else, flaming arrows perhaps.
Lava Reefs would, in my opinion, give some very needed life to the barren lava oceans of the nether, without removing the danger, if the land is getting lush, why shouldn't the water?
