Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Crimson Pad (Nether equivalent of Lily Pad)

Crimson Pad would be a plant which could be placed on top of lava (exactly as lily pad on top of water).
It could generate on lava seas in Crimson Forest biome.
As an item it would be immune to burning and would float in lava (just like netherite items) in order to make it possible to be collected by the player.

Crimson Pads could act as the natural source of food for striders. For example, they could sometimes grow with a flower which would be eaten by striders.

    Striders eat warped fungi so maybe they eat another version called the warped pad because striders are never able to be fed crimson.
