Making beacons light be larger depending on placement (2x2 3x3 x2 2X4)

Hello ive seen people do smp's and ive seen really cool things thatr are big ad have a beacon in the middle but what if the beacon light was bigger since if you actvate 4 beacons in a square 4 individual lights but with space between them what if for every square the light merges into one big light like its starts at 1x1 then 2x2 3x3 and so on, this would make intersting builds and more creativity
