I own a factions realm, and have noticed a big issue. Within a couple of days, all experienced players have acquired an item that changes the game entirely. Ender chests. Once players get these, the goal changes from raiding others for better loot to just raiding others. For example, someone killed the Ender Dragon and obtained the egg. My faction then hunted down and killed them, but their good loot had already been put in their ender chest. I feel as though they're a bit overpowered. It is impossible to take items from another player's ender chest and, in a game with infinite possibilities, I don't think that this is a good thing. Therefore, I think that a compromise would be to add an end-game item which would be inserted into an ender chest to access other players' loot. This would consist of two ingredients.
- Player Head
These would be dropped whenever a player is killed under certain circumstances (eg. with the Sweeping Edge enchantment.) They could be worn, or even turned into a banner pattern!
- Corrupted Eye of Ender
As the eye of ender seems to be the key to opening the mini-dimension in which items in an ender chest are stored, it makes sense for it to be in the recipe. However, to make the key more difficult to obtain, the eye would have to be corrupted in order to be used. This would be done by crafting it with a rare item (eg. magic crystals that rarely spawn under the outer end islands.)
