A command to power certain redstone components would be really helpful for several aspects of the game. It could be used for adventure maps, minigames, or complex builds using command blocks. It could be used to power dispensers to make them shoot, turn on a redstone lamp, or even animate a dragon head, all without having to press a button or use /setblock to place a block of redstone. It would be extremely beneficial to map makers and technical players alike. One way it could potentially work would be to use the syntax /power <block coords> <power length>. The block coords would be the location of the block you want to power, and the power length would be how many ticks it would be powered for. It could even be used to power redstone dust with an additional strength argument. For example, if you had a line of redstone and powered the first piece with a strength of 7, it would also power the 6 following it. Overall, a power command would help many players to simplify their builds, or even make some builds that were previously impossible possible.
