1.17:The winter update

Hey i don't want to take up too much of your time, but hear me out. Lets talk about and update that will bring Minecraft to life even more. The winter update

Prenote: i know that some of this stuff im about to tell you is a bit farstretched and im definitely not expecting it to be exactly how i've imagined This is just my ideas in General

Winter will be an update for us hardcore survivalists. Before you get carried away, i think there should be an option when creating the world for winter to be on or off as i know some people might get upset at having winter in minecraft When set to "HARDCORE" winter will be automatically locked to on. During winter crops wont grow. You cant breed animals. This will make storing up on food a priority. During winter, when you are colder or not near a campfire or torch for too long, you will need to eat more than normal and you will also deal less damage and regenerate slower. In winter, a new mob will come, i dont know what to think of here, but a new mob just seems fitting. You will now find wolves everywhere not just in certain biomes. At night, wolves will attack you. All mobs will become more hostile and deal more damage. Villagers trade prices will double or even triple and/or their trades will become much worse. Night will become darker and longer and you cant sleep if its snowing. All oceans and rivers will freeze over and the fish will be replaced by winter fish that only heal one bar of food. Im sure you can think of more great stuff!

    If the winter area is getting the update maybe the creation of a new structure for the winter biome must be looked into like the jungle has a temple so does the desert. The structure might me like a castle or a barrack of sort infested with a new hostile mob as minecraft doesn't have that much biome specific mobs, the mob can be a ghosts and the castle can be like a destroyed barrack with a old rusty look, or there can be a new hostile in the structure which are like the white walkers from game of thrones and will aggro anything with it's immediate vicinity and recruit it as it's own and will give a freezing effect when it hits the player also they will have a chance to drop an enchanted book which can be applied to a sword and being hit with that sword will inflict a freeze effect on that mob and that enchantment cannot be applied with fire-aspect. This enchantment will make it easy to kill enderman also as they'll freeze as soon as they're hit. Or they can drop an item which can be brewed into a potion to get that effect.

    This idea seems like it would make for a great custom world or mod pack. To implement this into vanilla would also be cool, but so do hope if implemented in vanilla it would be done alongside other world scenarios I.e. drought where water blocks slowly disappear over time, ability to choose what dimension to spawn in, and the custom dimensions which have been discussed. I wouldn’t want to see these features replace standard vanilla world mechanics.
