The older version of this post has been replaced with this one in light of the nether update, sorry for any inconvenience.
The Netherite Soldier is an odd new mob that I would love to see in the new Nether Update. It will act as a mob that will spark more interest in finding Nether Fortresses again without the need for a Nether Reset, as new mobs would not affect older versions of the nether. Here are the stats.
Health: 50 hearts, Has Full Armor
Damage: 6 hearts on hit, deals 1.5 times normal knockback
Speed: Similar to player walk speed.
Spawning: This mob would spawn in nether fortresses and would spawn by itself. It would also spawn in crimson forests on rare occasions.
Drops: Has a 100% chance of dropping some gold nuggets, a 10% chance of dropping up to 2 Netherite Scrap, and a 1% chance of dropping a Crimson Netherite Sword, which is similar to a regular Netherite Sword, but it pacifies Blazes, Wither Skeletons, and other Netherite Soldiers if held. Just don't go hitting anyone with it.
This mob would have Crimson Spores and Smoke coming from the center of him. He will charge any mob that is not native to the Nether Fortress. He also has two special attacks. He can slice his sword to send a burst of fireballs in your direction. He can also shoot a huge Fireball that the player will need to bounce back to him 4 times before he takes damage from it. He will act as the Elder Guardian of the Nether Fortress and the protector of its creatures.
