Going up to level 4 and mutually exclusive with the Piercing enchantment, the Capering enchantment would make arrows shot from crossbows bounce and reflect off of shot entities and blocks like Mario's fireballs. Like piercing, the level of enchantment determines how much the arrow bounces. This enchantment would also have a damage buff, but every time it bounces off of something that damage buff is reduced. For example, each level of this enchantment would increase the arrow damage by 20% (120%, 140%, 160% and 180%). Everytime the arrow reflects, the arrow would decrease the damage buff by 1% every game tic, until it reaches the lower level. How it would work is if an arrow is at 180% damage and hits the ground or another entity, every game tick it would decrease the damage to 179%, then 178%, until it reaches 160%. This is to minimize jank. This would be good for Minecraft because it introduces a brand new game mechanic: bouncing arrows. It would also elegantly introduce a way to increase the crossbow arrow damage instead of just making power comparable with crossbows.
Edit: The capering arrow would also remember its owner, and when bounced back to whoever shot it, instead of damaging the shooter the arrow would instead simply return to their inventory.
