You should be able to upgrade gold armour with netherite scraps.

If you can do this with diamond, why not with gold? You do need gold for netherite after all!

    Sooooo netherite plated gold armour sounds good

     but mabey iron to cause dark grey and Metal would look crazy good mabey this plating would increase duribilitey but not armour

    Why just armor, why not all gold gear, that would remove the forced overworld diamond requirement from the equation.
