The permaforest

You make a nether portal frame out of blue ice to see where you'll later put obsidian, you accidentally lit the frame and it lights to life. You step into the new portal curiously and walk out into a world with trees as far as the eye can see, covered in ice and snow,

The permaforest is a dimension that has three biomes: a snow covered spruce forest, an ice spikes biome that has nothing but ice, snow and water going all the way down to bedrock. The third biome is a frozen ocean that has 7-13 blocks of packed ice then water all the way to berock. There is no stone, dirt or ore in the permaforest, instead permafrost is underneath the surface and goes down to Y-23. After Y-23, there is nothing but water and bedrock.

so in total, these are all the block in the permaforest: spruce logs, spruce leaves, snow, ice, packed ice, blue ice, permafrost and water.

  No, although this is an interesting idea this is a waste of a new dimension, there should instead be a frozen biome in the Nether called frozen hell that is extremely rare, do to some mythology dealing with a frozen hell, that contains ice related resources and other rare materials. Water is not placeable here because it freezes

  I love dimension update ideas. I voted for this but I'd want it to also have more content instead of being some bland boring dimension that lacks any purpose. There could be Ice dragons/ Yetis/ whatever ice-related bosses,along with polar bears and arctic foxes that are already added into the game and some special fantasy mobs such as maybe arctic camels ? Who knows? Anything is possible and would make sense in a fictional dimention. Also instead of being lit with a flint and steel, which wouldn't make much sense, it could be lit with some sort of special item, maybe something you can obtain from the nether or the overworld.
