I think that the inclusion of a new type of fuel would give more emotion and fun to the objective of "surviving" in nether, the new types of woods allow creating the basis for survival in this dimension, however, this gets complicated at the moment to find a material that allows creating the new types of torches and lanterns, cooking food and melting materials, the wood of the nether does not allow the creation of charcoal, and the only way to obtain carbon, is killing withers in a nether fort, which It is comparable to trying to enter a mansion in the overworld without a shield and only with a wooden sword, which is practically impossible for new and casual players that look to survive in the nether, my proposition for this, is create a new type of fuel that would be superior to the carbon and inferior to lava, which could only be obtained in the soulsand valley, this new ore could appear naturally in the biome, or could be created if a soul soil block is exploited by a ghast with a small probability of happening, this new fuel would also serve to replace the current crafting of torches and lanterns, and for players who arrives from the overworld, this material would be valuable because is more powerful than coal and easier to transport than lava, which would enhance the experience of exploring the nether.
