Wondering Soul

A little tiny black fireball with a skull in it. It’s summoned with a soul bottle, that can be found in chest in the nether. It will give light as it floats next to you. It will also start making a rattling bone sound when near ancient debris, and will get louder as your getting closer to the ancient debris.

    That would be a nether miner's dream    maybe they make that noise because they to where once nether miners or something.

    It should have a duration once it is freed from the bottle. It wouldn’t be a potion effect, it would probably just have a timer in its code telling it when it should float away (stop helping). I think 5 minutes would be a reasonable amount of time, unless these soul bottles are rare.

    Maybe if you mine enough soul sand/soul soil you have a 2% or lower at spawning on of these. It will follow you ONLY while you in the Nether. If you go through a portal it will stay by the portal intel you come back.

    This is an excellent idea! Quick tweaks/suggestions:
    Soul Bottles should be craftable but a bit expensive, and be balanced by the fact that the soul only lasts about two minutes before dissipating. 

    They should also be stackable up to 16, and dispensers will spit out the soul, which will immediately head to the nearest player and follow them.

    The soul bottles should also spawn in desert tombs on rare occasion.

    I think the range would have to be pretty short on this. Maybe right clicking with the bottle in hand could bring it back. Like maybe it had a health system, but was immune to fire damage. This wouldnt make it too op.

    I think that this is a cool concept and that if they do actually make netherite uncraftable with a template this might help. 

    Changes: Duration, as everyone else mentioned. Also the ability to lead players to the template. Perhaps also add glowing more to the sounds?

    what if it was blue and found in a soul fields?
