Wind in a jar

This is a special item/block that I think would be super useful. I'm thinking it would be a kind of hopperlike block that pulls items on the ground towards it. Maybe it could also have this effect if held in hand/offhand. This would be super useful for quite a few things. I think it would be pretty expensive, as it is very useful. Maybe it can be crafted using feathers, a diamond, and glass, or something like that. I hope this is a good idea, and it would make farms much easier too.
