The warped and crimson forests are great, on the surface. Underneath the Netherack however they’re both the same as anywhere else in the Nether. So to add a greater sense of variety and uniqueness, the Nether biomes could each have their own unique ores. Focusing on the Warped forest specifically though, I bring you Azurite. Azurite would appear as an ore with dark teal flakes, encrusted in Netherack much like other Nether ores. Azurite generates slightly less frequently than Nether gold and Nether quartz, and will only generate in warped forest chunks. Azurite would appear in medium to small veins, and would require an iron pickaxe at minimum to actually receive an Azurite gem. Each Azurite ore block would drop one individual Azurite ore, and even more with each level of looting.
Here are some potential ideas for Azurite:
A block of Azurite can extinguish players on fire when stepped on.
When a Azurite block is held in the offhand the player will receive haste I.
Azurite can be used as quick cure for the wither effect when ground into dust.
A furnace can be surrounded in Azurite can be used to make a Mystic furnace, which rewards extra experience points per items smelted. Items that normally give little to no experience when smelted will now give some experience as well.
(P.S I’m not fully satisfied with the uses I came up with, so if anyone has their own ideas I’d be happy to hear them)
