Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Helodixium Ore

Quite rare (rarer than lapis lazuli) crystal spikes that hurt to walk on and has a uniqe use. Colorfull lamps could be crafted with this ore; glowing in different colored lights.

    Is there any reason to have this in the game over just more lighting that uses glowstone? Does this ore add any content itsself, or just an annoyance to people mining?

    Also, there is the issue that minecraft's current lighting system doesn't have color, as far as I know.

    I have seen some people in the comments wondering if it's only use would be for lighting. It wouldn't be, because they said it would hurt to walk on, which would be cool for defence and useful for mob farms.

    Cool, but could it make a "special" stained glass that works like normal stains glass over a beacon but it works over every light source.

    Edit: I realise that would require a "BEEFY" PC and you could accomplish this with shaders

    No. If it had some other use, like maybe usable to craft stained glass as a replacement for the dyes and glass, then maybe.

    I saw someone saying it could be usable for defense, but if it is big spikes and glows, you can see it for miles and it's not that effective then cause you could go around/under/mine it.

    Also, where would this spawn, what tool would be used to mine it (i.e. Iron or diamond or something), and vein size?

    This is a great idea and i would love to have blue glowing light in the game, but i think the name should be changed (it's quite a mouthful,) and it shouldn't hurt to walk on, but rather have stalactite and stalagmite parts and could go in with a cave update.

    I originally thought that 1.17 should be the End Update, as the end is completely boring apart from end cities, but after seeing pictures of what the cave update could be, i'm up-voting the cave update feature, (which has about 300% more votes than the feature below it and is in first place,) so Mojang please make 1.17 the Cave Update and not a repeat of 1.15 (an extremely underwhelming update)
