Katharifruit would have grown in the savannah with a low probability of growing on savannah trees. When eaten, it gives the same amount of food bars as an apple and gives a special effect called immunity. This effect can be obtained by eating a Katharifruit or drinking the potion of the fruit. What the effect does is counteracts the negative potion effects. This will be later discussed. When the fruit is eaten raw, it gives the immunity effect for 15 seconds at level one. You can put the fruit through a crafting table and it’ll give you 2 slices of it. Each slice, when eaten, gives 2 sec. potion effect and half a food bar. When these slices are put through a brewing stand with awkward potion, it will give you the “Potion of Cleansing”. When drunken, the base immunity effect will last for one and a half minutes. This potion has the regular properties for most other potions, like gunpowder turns it into a splash potion. However, when the amplifier is added, that’s when the new properties come in. If the immunity effect is a lower amplitude than the negative effect, it will do nothing. When equal, the player won’t feel negative effects. When the negative effect is a lower amplitude than the immunity effect, (increased by glowstone) the negative effect will run out faster than normal. Thank you for your time.
