Making custom maps it would be very useful to be able to enchant a custom textured item and still be able to see its details. It'd also make it easier to identify teams in minigames with colored leather armor (i.e if feather falling or respiration is required)
The flag should disable the glint from both the held item and armor rendered in the game.
I suggest adding an NBT tag which can disable the shimmer, maybe through display or by adding another bit to hideFlags, or an entirely new one.
Some other suggestions involve being able to set colored glints via NBT, in that case a color of 0 might mean no glint
