Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

    I 100% agree. Soul Speed Using Durability pretty much ruins the purpose of getting the enchantment. The only remotely feasible way to work around it would be to have two boots, one with soul speed and one without, which is a major inconvenience for players gathering resources

    yes pleeeeeaaaase remove the durability. it will be a real pain to have to keep checking it and repairing it. we already have to do that with elytra. at least elytra makes sense. but boots that break while you wear them? nah im not using them

    If soul speed didn't have durability it would at least be worth the search or even the use of soul speed.

    Agreed i have unbreaking 3 netherite but it wears off ever second and a half please fix.

    You have to go through so much effort for this enchantment. Then you can end up losing durability? It makes no sense. I also believe a speed buff needs to be added, because blue ice is so much easier to get, but it speeds you up more.

    I think that soul speed should have a 1/3 chance do damage your boots without unbreaking, 1/6 chance to damage your boots with unbreaking 1, 1/9 chance to damage your boots with unbreaking 2, 1/12 chance to damage your boots with unbreaking 3.

    I agree. It does cost durability of boots, and that's why I think it is fairly unreasonable that Mojang makes soul speed cost durability. As you mentioned, Frost Walker does not cost durability, and so does Depth Strider. Conclusively speaking, if Mojang hopes to maintain the balance of the game, it shoud not be working in this way(refer to letting Soul Speed cost the durability of boots). At least, the mechanism of specific enchantments, including Soul Speed, Swift Sneak, Depth Strider and Frost Walker, should be nearly the same, instead of changing mechanism of part of the enchantments as I mentioned above. Otherwise, the so-called "maintaining the balance of the game" will be a lie forever.
