As it is right now, all villagers can provide the same deals.
I would like the deals to be much more different depending on where a villager lives. For example, desert villages could buy crops for higher prices, while plain villages might sell crops cheaper.
Aside from biome, other factors could also play in. For example height; an underground village could sell metal cheaper, or professions/output; a village which produces more crops should sell them cheaper.
Cost wouldn't need to be the only difference, the deals themselves could also be different. A forest village could sell wood, while a desert village might not.
This also opens up for a new profession, the trader, who has a general set of trades common over all villages.
With the current system, villager breeding is encouraged and large scale farms are superior to most other gameplay-styles.
If it was replaced with this system, the player would be encouraged to:
- Travel, between villages
- Explore, in search of lucrative trades
- Build, new villages in new places
