The Nether should be more challenging by adding a new status effect, which can be applied, for example, by a mob which lives in the new soul valley. The effect makes the player/mob unable to leave the Nether using a portal, forcing him to stay in the dimension. If it is applied in the Overworld, the player/mob will be transferred in the Nether without a portal in the position where it is at the moment; and it is forced to remain until the effect is applied. The effect can be applied by a potion or a tipped arrow. These potions should be end-game items, for example using a rare item as the Nether Star in the crafting (note: the Nether Star will be given back to the player).
I think this could be a good addiction to the game because there are too less Nether-related effects right now and this dimension is too easy, because a player can leave it in every moment
