Red Ice! Similar to it's cousin Blue Ice, Red Ice is a block that can only be obtained itself with a Silk Touch Pickaxe and able to make something new by melting it! Unlike Blue Ice which generates on the bottom of icebergs, Red Ice generates in the highest points of the Nether. (It's far away from lava so it's probably chilly at the top of the Nether?)
What can it do?
-Since its a warmer ice it will melt Snow Layers, Snow Blocks, and Regular Ice
-It will slow players down if they run (as well as boats)
-It can only be melted by the blue fire that forms on soul sand
-When melted, using a bottle you can collect Red Ice Extract (or something similar) which can be used as a base potion ingredient for positive potions (Fire Resistance, Regen, Instant Health, etc)
Where can I find it?
-Near the bedrock on the upper part of the nether. (y:100? or something like that?)
Special Things!
-A new advancement called 'Da Na Na Naaaa!' which requires you to melt Red Ice and put the Extract into a bottle. A slight reference to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in the Ice Caverns which also had Blue Fire and Red Ice and how you put things into bottles.
