Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Potion of Blasting

When imbibed, the Potion of Blasting gives you a fun and dangerous debuff where, whenever you take force damage or burning damage, you cause a small explosion around you. This explosion mines any stone level blocks you are touching, hurts you a little bit and causes slight damage and knockback to surrounding mobs.

Uses:

  • Jump off a cliff and cause a crater where you land.
  • Set yourself on fire for a fun and intense mining session.
  • Slaughter your cows while also clearing an area.

The recipe may be Awkward Potions brewed with a Fire Charge.

I think this potion is useful for crowd control, utility and fun.

    The best way to exploit this may be to breed 25 cows in a 2 block high pit, splash them with regeneration and blasting, then set them on fire with flint and steel. They would force each other outwards, while also mining blocks. When they are too far away from each other to damage each other with explosions, the fire will continue burning them and they will continue to run around while exploding.

    To address concerns of griefing: This potion requires netherwart, blaze powder, gun powder, glass bottles, knowledge, time, and guiding mobs onto the roof of someone's base. It's not as quick or simple as TNT or a bucket of lava. I hope that's enough to deter the usual trolls.

    I have an idea you can add, you can put it in a splash potion bottle and when you throw one, it blows up.
