Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

3x3 Tools

I didn't see this idea on a search so:

Having delved into modded, I've come to love the 3x3 Tools 

I'd love to have the functionality in Vanilla too

My suggestion is maybe for the 3x3 Hammer that breaks stone could have 2 sticks and 5 materials

3x3 Spade could have two sticks and  3 Materials in a ^ formation 

For the Hatchet that will Fell an entire tree in one block,  maybe Three sticks to the far side of the 3x3 grid and a 2x2 block of materials next to it.

 

Failing that, make it a simple Enchantment that gives the effect, 

Pickaxe - Quarry Enchantment
Shovel - Excavation Enchantment
Axe - Timber Enchantment

As per the modded versions, durability would be effected based on how many blocks are broken

    Mojang might want to make a few changes to make this fairer, but other than that, this is good. If 3x3 is not an option, we could have tools that highlight or outline a 2x2x2 which is only 8 blocks compared to the 9 blocks of a 3x3

    This is a good idea, how it is implementation via, Neterite tools, enchantments or a new tool like a wand is up to the devs, but it would be a great addition. I would like 3x3 2x3 1x3 and the ability to place more than one block at a time. Theres loads of mod examples of this and would benefit Minecraft Vanilla as it would allow for larger and more creative builds. For creative and survival modes.

    I think this would be awesome, especially if it was implemented in a way similar to the Easy Emerald Tools and More mod, where these extra tools have to be crafted with like a whole block of whatever type of tool it is. For example, to make an iron hatchet, you would have to have a whole iron block in the recipe.
