Deaf effect

The deaf effect makes you unable to hear anything and you subtitles go away. You get the deaf effect from screeches.

    I like this idea, but we shouldn't disable subtitles. Some players depend on them to understand what's going on (people who are actually deaf in real life). Instead of muting the game's audio, why not have an intense ringing that disorients the player?

    The only problem with what I proposed is that it could hinder people who have sensory issues.

    Lili5510 Talking about removing subtitles. Temporarily hiding the subtitles hinders their ability to 'hear' in a way as removing the audio for people who can hear would do the same thing. Deaf people don't need ears to see what is going on. Although I do like the idea that instead of muting everything, there should be a ringing sound in the background that fades in and/or out.

    This is an excellent idea! In fact, I only found this one because I thought of it myself. However, like blindness, the audio should just be diminished a certain amount depending on the level of the status effect. Level 255 should be completely deaf.
