The overworld has it's own form of chest, a normal storage container. The End has it's own form of chest as-well, an Ender Chest, so why wouldn't the nether have a Nether Chest?
The Nether Chest's texture in my mind could have veins of fire/lava running through it giving it a Nether feel, (kind of like the veins in the Warped Stem block recently added) It's functionality is simple, a Nether variety of the chest and ender chest, however I have a few ideas to make it not just a retextured chest.
(My ideas for the functionality of the The Nether Chest)
1. The Nether Chest can act as a ordinary dumpster, as you put items it in, those items burns and disappear.
2. The Nether Chest can act as a de-crafting table. you would need 2 nether chests, one for input and one for output, say you put a diamond sword inside the input chest, 1 stick and 2 diamonds will appear in the output chest and the diamond sword would disappear, to prevent this from being exploited or very overpowered there should be a very high chance of you not getting all the items from the output chest to prevent players from buying cheap diamond chest-plates from villagers and getting 8 diamonds back, but instead you got like 1-2 diamonds.
This should be a very late game item, possibly made out of netherite

However, this is just an idea and I'm sure there are many more ways the functionality of a Nether Chest could work instead of just being a retextured nether version of the overworld chest.
