Weeping Vines as replacement for Nether Boats

Weeping Vines should be generated on the nether ceiling above lava lakes,for example,every time the game detects lava underneath where it would want to generate the vines it would have a high chance to spawn. This would help players transport themselves over lava lakes,instead of using an enchantment/item. If this were to happen it would be nice if the player could not fall from weeping vines but instead latched onto them(only being able to come out if they press shift or jump)and also make it faster to essentially move on weeping vines
